like the idea of calling class -3 pro stock and the number being carried by the top 5 places. it would give the racers something to shoot for.
Do I have my gripes about the NMRO? Not so much the NMRO, but Special Events. I drove almost 800miles for 1 pass in Lima, Oh and paid them $75 to let me do it. I could have made a second pass for another $75 and then had $150 worth of entry fees, and about $200 worth of gas to take a chance at winning what? Class 3 is a joke to someone calling the shots! I guarantee I have more money invested in my class3 truck than half the class 4,5,6 rides. Nothing against these guys, but it would be nice to run for the same money! Speaking of money,I say toss the Leather Jackets and lets see some cash for the points at year end! It's getting harder and harder every year to convince the wife that I want to keep this up.
This series is begging for someone to take it over and really make something out of it. I thought that was going to happen when Special Events took over, but obviously it's only a money thing for them. I'd love to see the accounting for just one of the events to see just what percentage is given back as a purse. I'm all about this field payback program and purse match on entry fees. If Special Events can't make there money from the gate ticket sales, why are we showing up in the first place. Enough for now!
I dont know why everyone is bitching about the size of motors the last 4 class 3 winners have NOT had the biggest motors you need a good car to run good!!!!
big dawg thanks for checking out the site.I think you finally said something that called for a response. Yes the biggest motor doesn't always win you most definatly need a combination to work together but not everyone has the money to build both. This shouldn't be about who has the deepest pockets but how do we get large car counts at all the races not just some. How do we improve on the sport? How do we create growth in the class and the sport as a whole? If you have an answer to any of these questions I would love to hear them not just more mindless critisism of others who speak their minds
